作者简介:

  Jan C Wilschut,PhD is Professor of Molecular Virology in the Department of Medical Microbiology at the University Medical Centre, Groningen, The Netherlands. His main research interests include the cell entry mechanisms of enveloped viruses, influenza virus and alpha- and flaviviruses in particular, and viral and tumour vaccine development. Based on his interest in viral membrane fusion processes, he developed the virosome system as a basis for novel vaccine modalities. He is Co-ordinator of the Netherlands Influenza Vaccine Research Centre (NIVAREC) and has published over 150 papers in international peer-reviewed journals.
